Former cyclist Anita Kynell turned to viticulture and winemaking in 1996 and, building on her family's privately owned vineyard in the greater Beaujolais region, created Domaine Anita in 2015. With 11 bottlings from six denominations of origins dedicated to the black Gamay variety, Anita vinifies by vineyard, seeking to bring out the unique characteristics of each, all grown using gentle disease and weed control methods that are environmentally friendly and sustainable. Most of the vines on the estate are between 40 and 80 years old.
